/ 02 HOW TO READ IT
Count the sides.
Know the limit.
The chart uses Binance's global long/short account ratio for the selected USDT perpetual. It shows the reported share of accounts on each side over time.
Accounts positioned long
Blue smoke enters from the two left thrusters and spreads through the long-account share reported by Binance for this symbol and period.
Accounts positioned short
Pink smoke enters from the two right thrusters and spreads through the short-account share. The white dividing line follows the measured split between the two sides. The price chart below tracks the selected perpetual pair in USDT. Hover or tap either chart to inspect the same time in both.
Balance, not exposure
The ratio divides long share by short share. A value above 1 means more accounts are long, but it does not imply more long notional exposure.
Source: Binance USDⓈ-M global long/short account ratio. The two account shares are normalized for rounding and total 100%; smoke motion and thruster effects are illustrative. The lower price chart uses closed Binance USDT perpetual candles at the same interval. Both panels share the same time axis; price has its own USDT scale. Binance provides only the latest 30 days. Window resolution varies from 5-minute to 4-hour samples. New listings may have shorter histories; these figures do not represent positions on other exchanges.
